would you.....?

if i were to die today
would you hold me and cry?
would you think of the times we spent together?
would you feel the warmth of my love?

if i were to die today
would you see me in the stars?
would you hear me in the breeze?
would you smell me in the flowers?
would you touch me in the leaves?

if i were to die today
would you wonder where i am?
would you wish i was back with you?
would you pick the pieces and move on?

i know you would do all and more
and yet i know that life carries on...
i am just a speck of dust
i cannot hope for more.

Neat Portrayal. Considerate thought.

Also, entire poetry projects naiveté of poet (or character of the poetry) but surprisingly the last lines give character of the poetry a vermillion of maturity. I loved this traverse.

I agree with Shradha above..The growth of the emotional maturity shown does reflect life itself..As the author/poet's profile says, your love affair with words are visible and hope to read more..
Cheers!
